Design and create your own woven tapestry sampler, wall hanging, small purse or bag in this workshop, using this traditional craft. Learn the basics of tapestry weaving, including how to warp up and weave on a tapestry frame/loom. Design and create a woven item using a using a variety of tapestry weaving techniques and stitches and using your own choice of colourful and textured yarn.
This workshop aims to give you enough knowledge, skills and confidence to be able to tapestry weave independently.
All materials and equipment are provided. However, if you have any tapestry weaving equipment and/or yarn that you would like to use, you are welcome to bring them to the workshop.
This workshop is suitable for beginners.
