If you've ever wanted to learn how to throw on the potter's wheel then look no further! This eight-week course will guide participants through the techniques of throwing, as well as making and attaching handles to pieces, refining pieces, and a glazing session in the final week, with plenty of time given for practicing and individual attention. Suitable for complete beginners or potters looking to improve their throwing skills.
Finished work will be available for collection 4 weeks after the course finishes.
Firing charges: keep up to 4 pieces free, then £8/kg as measured when pieces are finished and submitted for their first firing.
We sell aprons for £15 & £20, or feel free to bring your own.
If a participant cannot make every week of the course, our staff will do their best to find alternative times during the week to make up for the lost sessions- However, this cannot be guaranteed.
